How does Two-Factor Authentication work?
When you want to sign into your account, you are prompted to authenticate with a username and a password – that’s the first verification layer.
Two-factor authentication works as an extra step in the process, a second security layer, that will reconfirm your identity.
Its purpose is to make attackers’ life harder and reduce fraud risks. If you are already using strong password, two-factor authentication will make it more difficult for cyber criminals to breach your account.
Two-factor authentication using your mobile phone:
Mobile phone is one of the most popular methods for two-factor authentication, almost everybody has a mobile phone and carries it around, everywhere they go.
You will be required to enter the security code which will be sent out to your phone.

The second most popular additional authentication method is Google Authenticator. You set up the app and scan the QR code given upon the setting of that two-factor authentication method.
You will be required to enter a 6-digit code which will be generated by Google Authenticator app
